Originally planned around field boundaries and village developments today's London reveals itself to us as having an unexpectedness and grittiness, where the extraordinary sits next to the ordinary - a city seemingly resistant to planning, where the destiny and scale varies dramatically. These situations shape the starting point to the investigations and observations made in this diploma project. 

Starting with intensifying a junction in South London and going onto exploring a building made up of parts - a front, a back, a theatre and student accommodation above. What happens when a different programmes meet?
